May you all stay well over the coming weeks.  I have come to look upon so many of you as friends and shared many a conversation and a laugh.  Many of you should be staying home right now and away from others, social distancing.  If you need a friendly message I am only a text away.  So it is with sadness of the situation the country finds itself with the rapid spread of covid-19 we at Carlton Jewellers have taken the step to close until the crisis is over. We believe it is our social responsibility to do so to protect our community. We think that the government will impose these further restrictions before long.

So we have stripped the shop of all stock and customer’s jewellery that we are in possession of and placed it in secure bank safety deposit boxes to protect against losses to be over cautious since our burglaries the year before last.  I took a picture as I was leaving today, this is just so sad I hope this is over soon.

We can be contacted by our customers that wish to have their jewellery returned and we will as long as we are able drop it to them.

For people wanting to have repairs done we can still offer a contactless collection and drop off with electronic payment or bank transfer.

Also for anyone wanting to scrap any old jewellery to raise extra cash in these difficult times we can offer this service by appointment only.

We will still be working in our workshop doing repairs and producing new pieces for when we reopen, which we definitely will.
